The teaching portfolio represents a sampling of student work from my senior level classes at Parsons School of Design and The Art Institute of New York City. Many of my Parsons students have been featured in The Annual Benefit Shows and received recognition as finalists for Designer of the Year awards, along with several who were chosen as finalists in The Kering Empowering Imagination Awards. The portfolio also includes my students’ collections chosen to represent The Art Institute of New York City at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week shows in New York.
The focus of my current design work is in the area of three-dimensional design techniques. These are selected works from technical design and patternmaking projects for clients as well as design outcomes from more experimental three-dimensional techniques of fashion design. I continue to be inspired by the development and exploration of design in its three-dimensional form rather than the traditional route driven by external inspiration and sketching.
